APTA Poll: 68 percent want more transit spending

Sixty-eight percent of U.S. residents want more federal spending on public transportation systems, according to an APTA poll conducted by the Mineta Transportation Institute. The poll showed a two point increase in support increased transit funding than a similar poll that was conducted last year.

    Mass transit needs to be increased and more accessible to more people.

    More money should be spent on improving mas transit in large and small cities. Too many people in the US spend way too much on their cars. many of these people would like to have some alternative way to get around, besides using a private automobile.
